Most “which glasses should I buy” quizzes are lead-capture with extra steps. Ours asks the five questions that actually change the answer — including whether you wear prescription glasses, which alters more recommendations than any spec on a box — and points you at a category before it names products. That ordering is the entire philosophy of this site, compressed into sixty seconds.

How the finder decides

The quiz is a three-step lookup, not a scored personality test. Step one, “what do you want from smart glasses,” is the only question that changes the category: a screen or gaming answer routes you to display glasses, “AI assistant” to AI glasses, “glanceable info” to HUD glasses, and “portable monitor” to work display glasses. Step two, budget, then picks products inside that category — the low tier starts under $300, the high tier names the most complete single device, and the mid tier takes the middle-weighted picks. Step three, prescription, does not change the category or the specs; it appends a note pointing you to inserts or diopter dials, because that is the real fork between who can actually see the screen. The “Read the full guide” link then sends you to the category guide the answer names. No question is weighted by a hidden formula — category first, budget second, prescription a conditional footnote, which is why the result is a category, not a model.

After the quiz

Whatever category you land in, the next two stops are always the same: the compatibility library (will they work with your devices — including the Switch 2 and iPhone Air traps) and the vision hub (inserts, dials, IPD — the step that decides whether you can actually see the screen you're buying). Then the category's buying guide: display glasses, AI glasses, or the overall rankings.
